How It All Started
Halo Cannabis was founded with a vision for excellence. Co-founder George Roop, a former UFC fighter, transitioned from professional athletics to cannabis cultivation, bringing the same discipline and precision to plant development.
Since 2000, George has cultivated cannabis at scale, mastering the workflow of large-scale operations—from irrigation and climate control to nutrient balance and pest management. His focus on quality control and consistency led him to create one of Arizona’s most trusted cannabis suppliers.
A Purpose-Built Cultivation Facility
George’s vision became reality with Halo’s 40,000-square-foot indoor cultivation facility, built on a 225-acre farm in Tucson. Every square foot was designed for optimal plant productivity—from HVAC and air conditioning systems to grow lights, humidity regulation, and filtration processes that keep our crops clean and compliant.
The building’s roof and ceiling structure was engineered to support energy-efficient lighting and environmental controls while helping regulate indoor climate across grow rooms. Every element—air movement, light intensity, or water delivery—works together to support healthy crops, efficient harvests, and high terpene preservation.
